The essence of dynamic rope stems in large part from beating. In this workshop, we will look at the basics of all the different kinds of beats on rope. The workshop will also touch on ways to connect beats to static positions.
Prerequisites: -Can climb a rope/silks to the top and come down safely -Can complete 1 invert with straight legs/can do multiple inverts with *almost* straight legs

The Cyr Wheel is one of the newest circus apparatuses in the world. It's mesmerizing to watch and even more fun to do! This workshop will mainly be an introduction, but it is open-level so if you have some experience it can help take your spinning further.
No skills required, but minimum height of 4'11" (due to apparatus size).

Build a repertoire of back-to-basics exercises that balance and optimize shoulder girdle function including how rib placement and breath mechanics connects the shoulders to the core. Harmful shoulder myths debunked. Open to all abilities, participants need to be comfortable standing for prolonged periods, and also comfortable in quadruped. This class is suitable for parents and coaches.

She is the owner of The Gaitway, Center for Body Education in Torrington, CT where she helps individuals from a wide range of backgrounds optimize their movement practice to restore their bodies.
Begin by learning to fall safely from ground level and then strap up and get moving! Perfect for students who have never been on stilts, or those are a bit wobbly and want to gain more confidence in their walking and movement skills.

This workshop will teach beginners how to juggle three clubs. We will cover proper technique, how to start with two in one hand, exercises for progressing, and beginner tricks.
Prequisites: Can juggle three balls for ten catches without moving your feet

Hula Hooping with Rose is a multi level work shop for all ages. This is a fun and technique based workshop. We will cover classical Russian hula hooping technique for waist hooping, knee hooping, hooping on the feet and hands as well as transitions between each body part. We will also work on ways to start the hoop from the floor and beginner drills for working with two hoops. You will leave this workshop with helpful hooping technique, a new hula hoop sequence, and many drills for future improvement.
Prerequisites: Able to hula hoop around your waist for 10 seconds.

This is a very beginner level silks workshop for those who have never tried anything on a vertical apparatus. We will go over basic climbs, inversions in a hammock and foot locks. If you have any experience this is not the class for you.

Actorbatics is a physical training process for achieving a precision and proficiency of balance, movement, physical expression, dexterity, improved communication skills and creative thinking. It is also a lot of fun, as it includes learning techniques of mime, masks, circus arts, creative movement and story telling. Work on your negotiating skills while hanging upside down! In this class, students will learn the basics of working with a partner on the static trapeze, including sharing space, sharing weight, and communication. All students will base and fly. We will work on basing from sitting positions and catchers lock, hand to hand, and tricks for same and differently sized partners. Prerequisites: None.
